Cryptic Studios is looking for a talented Multimedia intern with the ability to work directly with the Multimedia team to capture and digitize interesting video game footage and still images of current titles, using our in-house developer tools. We supply the proprietary game engine and tools; you bring your understanding of games and what looks good.

Located in Northern California in Los Gatos, we offer the fun, focused and casual atmosphere of a small developer. We actively balance our work with the personal lives of our employees. At Cryptic, we only hire the best and most talented people who love the work, the genre and the game.

Every day you could be:

• Capturing key scenes for trailers and screenshots in any of our games• Independently researching and developing scenes for still and video asset development.• Working directly with developers to understand the best way to film the games• Using 3D Studio Max, Photoshop and proprietary software to create next-gen art assets.

What you need to work here:

• Basic editing experience with FCP or Premiere or comparable NLE package • Good sense of composition and lighting• PC computer skills including basic understanding of networking• FTP protocol• Love of video games

What we'd like to see:

• 3d animation experience• Photoshop experience• After effects experience• Film making experience• Experience with game editors or modding games• Video compression skills  - using Sorenson Suite or Quicktime Pro

Please note: This is a paid internship, but it is not a full time position here at the studio.
