Job Description:


Relic Entertainment, award winning developers of Homeworld, Dawn of War and the highest rated RTS of all time, Company of Heroes, is looking for Development Testers to join our team.


The Dev Tester 2 assists in the development process by discovering and documenting issues in assigned project(s) through conventional and creative methods. Providing accurate, up to date information on all assigned items including issues within the database and testing tasks. Providing feedback on assigned project(s) in an effort to improve the game.  The Dev Tester 2 position is currently offered on a short term contract with the possibility of renewal.


Both verbal and written communication, along with interpersonal skills, is crucial! At Relic, we are big on teamwork. And the Dev Testers play a vital role. While we are a professional bunch, we have a ridiculously good time making quality games of which we are all proud. Seriously, we take making fun games very, very seriously.


 


Responsibilities:



  • Find and accurately document issues found in assigned project(s)

  • Regress issues in a timely and accurate manner

  • Execute assigned testing and test plan tasks in a timely and efficient manner

  • Assist in the creation of test plans

  • Assist in the mentoring of new hires and peers at Tester 1 status

  • Provide reports regarding assigned area(s) and daily activities

  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of testing and department practices

  • Remain focused and on task when testable content is limited

  • Use creativity and critical thinking to expose non-surface level issues in assigned project(s)

  • Remain knowledgeable of assigned area(s) of game and project(s)


 


Requirements:



  • Must be able to work independently and within a team environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Flexible schedule and willingness to work overtime

  • Must have completed at least one project development cycle in a professional capacity

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent


  Assets:



  • Experience with Agile development a plus

  • Fluency in Korean is an asset, but by no means a necessity!
