Obsidian Entertainment is looking for experienced and talented designers to do area design for our growing team of RPG developers.  For this project, area design refers primarily to content creation and involves designing area layout, pacing, and balancing as well as scripting encounters, creature placement, but area construction experience (especially in the G.E.C.K., Unreal, or other 3D level construction program) is a plus.


 


 Requirements:


·         1+ years game industry experience


·         Area design experience on at least one title, including at least one RPG, FPS, or other action title


·         Worked on at least one shipped titles through their complete production cycles


·         Thorough understanding of the game development process and requirements 


·         Exceptional creativity


·         Exceptional attention to detail


·         Love of computer and console role-playing/action games


·         Team player


·         Excellent communication skills


·         Able to adhere to tight schedules


 


Responsibilities:


·         Design game content - quests, NPCs, items


·         Maintain game design documentation


·         Communicate area design requirements with art and programming teams 


 


Portfolio Requirements:


·         Please provide a list of the specific areas you designed in the game or mod's
