At Dire Wolf Digital, we are designers and developers of online strategy and social games, specializing in digital trading card and miniatures titles. We are industry veterans, with credits to over ten games in the digital collectibles space among us. We are passionate about playing and making fun games, and are committed to creating high-quality and innovative gaming experiences that foster robust communities.
We are looking for a software engineer who will be primarily responsible for developing networked server applications that run in a distributed environment for supporting game infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop service modules for a game server cluster
- Work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
- Participate in task planning and time estimations
- Implement software designs from documentation
- Suggest and implement improvements to core modules
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with Object Oriented Programming
- Ability to work under tight deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team player who can collaborate effectively with others
- Desire to learn new skills and languages quickly
PLUSES
- Experience on at least 1 game project and/or 1-3 Years programming experience
- Knowledge of Javascript, Perl, Python, and Ruby
- Experience with message protocols like JMS
- Experience with PostgreSQL
