Network Game Developer
at D-Learning in Los Angeles, California
The Network Game Developer for D-Learning is responsible for leading the effort on developing, supporting and maintaining multi-player and social network based learning games developed in the different platforms currently being used in the DIMG space. The engineer will be required to assist in game design as well as content integration with the current server technologies used for MMOs, sites and devices as necessary. The engineer may be required to lead a small task-specific engineering team and support all stages of network based game and/or tool development related to content integration, testing and updating of all applicable online and device based content. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop game ideas, code bases, prototypes and fully functional games from inception
- Integrate games into social networking environments over multiple platforms
- Create tools for game content integration and enhancements
- Produce high quality documentation
SOFTWARESubversion (or related versioning platform), Eclipse, Flash Develop, Flash CS4 / CS5 -5.5, Xcode w/ iOS SDK, Android SDK, Linux, PHP, mySQL, noSQL, Unity, Smartfox (preferred), Web development techniques (CSS, HTML 5)(preferred) REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years in online game development (console game development a plus)
- 2+ years client/server experience, preferrably in a social networking environment
- College degree in CIS or equivalent work experience
- OOP(Java, AS2, AS3, C++, C#, Objective-C, C) | Scripting(Javascript, Jquery, Lua)
- API creation
- Creating Game Pitch Documents and Design Documents
- Paired Programming Experience
- Scrum and Agile Development Methodologies
- Social Network Platform Development (preferred)
- Loves to code
